[PRESS RELEASE]: “EGYPT AND APPLE WILL HAVE MUTUAL COMMITMENT REGARDING CYBER INFRASTRUCTURE”

Technology has played an important part in human’s life. With the birth of technology, people’s life has become a lot easier, because it was made to help people in doing their activities. With the advancement of technology, a lot of product was made to help people doing their job. One of the technologies that have a significant effect in our life is the internet. The internet is a system that work globally, that allows computers all over the world to connect with one another. The internet has become so important that the absence of it may cause a disaster.

Egypt has made a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Apple to improve a better cyber infrastructure on Tuesday, April 4th, 2017, in front of Audio Visual Room, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences Building, Parahyangan Catholic University, Bandung, Indonesia. Egypt as the initiator of the MoU signing aims to develop educational program related to the internet activities among their civil society. Egypt has also brought up another issues related to gender equality so that both parties will commit to create gender equality.

By signing the MoU, Egypt expected a strong and mutual respect among both parties through the cooperation in sharing software, hardware, and funding by Apple. On the other hand, Apple expected to expand their business especially in the MENA region.
