The cooperation is expected to add a larger quota for Kenya to join the fellowship program from Internet Society. The fellowship program itself is provided by Internet Society to help less developed countries enhance the use of the internet. The program will involve experts and scholars in ICT field who come from Kenya to develop their capabilities through training with expectations they could apply what they got from the fellowship program towards a better cyberspace in Kenya later. In the other hand, IETF will provide assistant in policy making regarding cyber activities in Kenya.
All parties hope that the cooperation will develop the use of the internet and internet user in Kenya so that it can support the government of Kenya, specifically by contributing to increase the economic sector. IETF and Internet Society also hoped that with this cooperation, it would create the transparent, wide-scale and positive internet.
