Saudi Arabia and Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) agreed to cooperate in strengthening the cyber infrastructure in Laboratorium HI, Parahyangan Catholic University, Bandung.
The cooperation between two parties written on the Memorandum of Understanding that was signed today. The MoU aims to improve safety and infrastructure of cyber space. The objective area of area cooperation by Saudi Arabia include the improvement of internet stability, security, and resiliency by develop and expand element coverage. By achieving this objective, Saudi Arabia expects to enhance a stable, secure, and inter-operable of their internet.
The agreement between Saudi Arabia and ICANN is intended to increase the Saudi Arabians’ awareness, capability, and capacity on the internet system especially on DNS, IP address system through socialization, seminar, and workshop managed by both parties. Saudi Arabia will also support ICANN’s program by funding the operational system of ICANN in maintenance, service, and education program regarding DNS and IP Address system.
