Amazon, the New York Times (NYT), and Oracle announced that they are working together on limiting and protecting privacy on cyberspace through signing the Memorandum of Understandig on Friday, April 7th, 2017 in front of Audio Visual Room, Faculty of Social and Political Science Building, Parahyangan Catholic University, Bandung. All parties have the urge to create a set of clear boundaries regarding the privacy itself.
All parties involved in the MoU have also shared the same objectives about the importance of privacy under the cyberspace that can be expected to have a mutual result. By signing the MoU, the NYT is officially becoming a media partner for Amazon and Oracle by publishing press release, or question and answer related to the importance of privacy under the cyberspace. The representative of NYT said that the importance of privacy need to be recognized by people in order to set a clear boundary through rising the awareness of the people.
All parties hope that the signing of the MoU could risen people’s awareness towards the importance of privacy under the cyberspace and could be beneficial and bring mutual results to each other.
