Indonesia and Apple have signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in 3117 Room, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences Building, Parahyangan Catholic University, Bandung, Indonesia. The cooperation aims to enhance the cyber governance in Indonesia.
As one of the states with a high number of Apple user, has prompted Indonesia to build cooperation with Apple. Indonesia believes that Apple is a reliable partner, as it is already known as a big corporation with advanced technology, to help Indonesia develop its cyber governance. With this cooperation, Apple as one of the corporations which uphold the safety and human right is willing to contribute specifically to strengthen the cyber infrastructure by providing the capacity building through training, expertise exchange, and hardware support. Indonesia will also facilitate the Research and Development Centre built by Apple in three big cities in Indonesia, which include Jakarta, Yogyakarta, and Surabaya.
Indonesia hopes that this cooperation will develop the cyber governance in Indonesia, especially with multi-stakeholderism approach, also to strengthen the relations between both parties. Apple also hopes that through the capacity building will strengthen the cyber infrastructure and will increase the knowledge of Indonesia’s civil society in Technology and Apple itself.
