[PRESS RELEASE]: “SOUTH KOREA AND APPLE AGREED ON DEVELOPING CYBER INFRASTRUCTURE THROUGH COOPERATING ON SOFTWARE RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT AND STRENGTHENING CYBER EDUCATION”

The Memorandum of Understanding was made between South Korea and Apple in front of Audio Visual Room, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences Building, Parahyangan Catholic University, Bandung, Indonesia. Both parties had arranged the meeting to discuss about cooperation on cyber education and cyber infrastructure in order to create a safer cyberspace and strengthening mutual report.

South Korea and Apple have come to an agreement to develop the best cyber infrastructure by cooperating on software research and development and also strengthening cyber education. The representative of Apple said that education is the most fundamental thing to support cyber infrastructure as it contributes in the making of the people’s awareness towards a better cyber infrastructure and also add to a better understanding on cyber security. South Korea will also provide cyber education to every academic institutions in South Korea. For further cooperation, Apple will develop the previous research and development centre in several places in South Korea to consolidate the relationship between both parties.

By signing the agreement, South Korea expects their civil society will be aware to any kind of cyber threats and can overcome it. Apple is also looking forward to continue the previous cooperation among both parties as South Korea is one of Apple’s partner.
