Iran has invited Uzbekistan to talk and signed the Memorandum of Understanding about developing the Uzbekistan’s Internet Infrastructure. The meeting was held on Tuesday, April 11th, 2017, in Tehran, the capital city of Iran.

Iran as the initiator of the cooperation aims to fulfill their objectives to reduce the digital divide and monopoly in the internet sphere. As Iran located in the same region and shared the same culture, Iran committed to help Uzbekistan to develop their Internet Infrastructure and increase the internet capability.

This cooperation also shows both parties’ efforts to establish cooperation in various fields between them. Both parties hope that this cooperation will go well between each other, also will strengthen the internet infrastructure and digital capabilities. Iran also hopes that its vision to reduce the digital divide and internet monopoly will be implemented on a wider scale.
