France, Germany, and China were signing a Memorandum of Understanding on Tuesday, April 11th, 2017 in 3501 Room, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences Building, Parahyangan Catholic University, Bandung, Indonesia.
There are actually two agendas in the MoU, first agenda is cyber infrastructure. By endorsing Industrie 4.0, each country has the same commitment to digitalize industrial sectors. Second agenda is about cyber security, these three countries are cooperating in sharing expertise and research development both for Cryptography and Industrie 4.0.
“As developed countries who are having huge internet users, it is preferable to implement Industrie 4.0. Other than that, we have to secure the developing industry sector by implementing Cryptography so that they would feel safe from any kind of cyber-attacks,” said the representative of France.
“France, Germany, and China as industrialized countries realized that the industrial sector needs to be secured. Therefore, all parties are collaborating the Industrie 4.0 and Cryptography as well to secure every internet-based activity, especially e-commerce and e-banking,” said the representative of Germany.
“In facing cyber governance, we have vision to cooperate with each other. Through this cooperation, Germany and France offered interesting matter regarding Cryptography in which it is also intertwined with cyber security. China itself is one of the countries that supports cyber economy, and we believe that Industrie 4.0 could make a prosper cyber infrastructure to maximize the cyber economy as well,” said the representative of China.
France hopes that this multilateral agreement would ease the upcoming summit caused by the similar vision and mission between three countries in terms of cyber governance. Furthermore, Germany hopes that despite western or eastern countries, we are pleasure to build cooperation particularly in successing the upcoming summit and prospering every actor in the summit, and China believes that throughout this intensive cooperation in cyber infrastructure and cyber economy sectors, we hope that France and Germany would like to cooperate in cyber governance sector.
