[PRESS RELEASE]: ”UNITED KINGDOM, ORACLE, AND INTERPOL TO COLLABORATE IN ENSURING PROTECTION CONFIDENTIAL DATA“

The Memorandum of Understanding between the United Kingdom, Oracle and Interpol was signed today, Wednesday, April 12th, 2017, in front of Audio Visual Room, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences Building, Parahyangan Catholic University.

The MoU discuss the protection of confidential data that is included as the commitment to enhancing the stability and security in the cyberspace. With this cooperation, Oracle will provide database for the United Kingdom and ensure the protection of the data. While Interpol will be in charge as the main guard along with Oracle in keeping all data of the United Kingdom secure and stay confidential from any potential external threats and provide a secure channel for the United Kingdom and Oracle to prevent any information and data misused to ensure the quality of the data protection.

Interpol will also provide a law enforcement expertise for the United Kingdom’s police regarding cyber-attacks and cybercrime incident management. The United Kingdom will provide the protection-guarantee under the cybercrime law by the government for Oracle when cyber attacks occur in the territory of United Kingdom. The United Kingdom will classify several types of data in the database of Oracle for confidentiality guarantee.

The United Kingdom, Oracle, and Interpol hope that by agreeing to this agreement, it can be an effort to realize a more secure cyberspace, gain trust in data protection from the private and public sectors, and strengthening the cooperation with all parties.
