International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), East West Institute (EWI) and Saudi Arabia committed to cooperate with each other by signing the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), on Monday, April 17th, 2017, in front of Audio Visual Room, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences Building, Parahyangan Catholic University, Bandung, Indonesia.
All parties believed that all the participants in World Summit of Cyber Governance are part of the system in the cyberspace that needs to respect and be respected. The cooperation is based on the common vision in supporting the Human Rights and the importance of Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT). The cooperation aims to define the same perception in Cyber Security and Cyber Governance. This cooperation also promotes the importance of privacy on the internet to prevent any kind of cyber attack and cybercrime that need to be implemented by many states. This cooperation is seen as the collaborative step between states and international organization.
All parties hope the norms and guideline that were being discussed in the MoU can be applicable to all states to prevent the cyber attack, also raise awareness to use the cyber-based facility with responsibility.
