Brazil and AT&T were signing the Memorandum of Understanding on Tuesday, April 18th, 2017 in front of Audio Visual Room, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Parahyangan Catholic University, Bandung, Indonesia.
This MoU is to strengthen the cooperation between both parties in order to help Brazilian government in commencing their cyber governance and also to protect, strengthen, and provide a proper networking condition for banking and business sector in Brazil. AT&T will provide Brazil with developing adequate cyber and telecommunication, ensuring high-level security focusing on banking sectors, and using fiber-optics technology to ease and strengthen network.
“We acknowledged that the business sectors such as bank and MNCs in Brazil are susceptible to get hacked or any kind of cyber-attacks, so we need to support our cybersecurity system by cooperating with AT&T. They (AT&T) are very open to this cooperation and they want to take part in enhancing cybersecurity and cyber infrastructure in Brazil,” said the representative of Brazil.
Both parties expect that this cooperation would strengthen the cooperation between them in the future and the business sector in the territory of Brazil would be more pleasant and safer to conduct economic activity.
