Thursday, April 20th, 2017, South Korea and Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) held a meeting to discuss cyberspace issue in front of Audio Visual Room, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences Building, Parahyangan Catholic University, Bandung, Indonesia.
South Korea and IETF agreed to cooperate in ensuring the privacy of data communication to prevent any internet misuses, such as cyberspace abuse which includes tampering and message forgery. The cooperation between both parties is also as an effort from South Korea and IETF in promoting multi-stakeholderism approach and strengthening their cyber security sectors. With this cooperation between South Korea and IETF, South Korea agreed to support IETF to develop its technical aspects that contribute to creating a better internet for society and to expanding the reach of internet access to the whole global society.
This cooperation expected to not only to strengthen the relation between South Korea and IETF for further cooperation in the cyber field but also expected to improve domestic cybersecurity capability in South Korea.
